Verdugo Voices Glee ClubVERDUGO VOICES GLEE CLUB – FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 6:00 PM

The Verdugo Voices Glee Club was founded by Dr. Trimis for two reasons: to bring vocal music back to Verdugo and to strengthen relations between the high school and surrounding community. The group performs the latest pop/rock hits, classic pop music and rock and roll, and music featured on the Glee television series. Since the beginnings of the group in November, 2011, they have performed in hundreds of shows throughout the Sunland-Tujunga community at local elementary schools, community events, for various service organizations, and in school concerts. Especially active in Verdugo’s feeder elementary schools, many of the local school children know the Glee Club through community caroling trips, school concerts, and Jr. Glee Camp. The group has been featured on NBC-Universal Television News, in social media outlets, and is a regular at the Music Center Education Council’s annual holiday luncheon. They recorded Verdugo Hills in November, 2012

Fever the GhostFEVER THE GHOST - SUNDAY, AUGUST 18, 2:00 pm

FEVER THE GHOST became a band in 2013 under direct supervision from the Swell Swan corporation. They have been charged with sparkling* the Los Angeles music scene. Failure to do so will result in catastrophic DNA alterations for band-members Casper, Bobby, Mason & Nick-O, the details of which have not been disclosed to them by the corporation.  The first 45 RPM record of ‘Rounder’ b/w ‘Her Earth’ was produced by Luther Russell under strict orders from Swell Swann as an analog recording, ensuring musical ‘cleanliness’, according to corporation guidelines. Though originally the spiritual brainchild of Casper, the strangely ‘touched’ seer, FEVER THE GHOST will from this point forward release artworks in various musical forms under the umbrella of Swell Swann–until further notified. It is imperative that their sparkling* is enjoyed by as many receptors* as possible, due to the fact that Swell Swann is keeping precise ‘count’. There is nothing further to add at this time. * Sparkling: the musical fertilization of souls via energy-dust formed by the vibrations from a performance or recording. *Receptors: those beings who are receptive to the sparkling.

Big Daddy TBIG DADDY T – SUNDAY, AUGUST 18, 8:00 pm

Big Daddy T considers themselves as…Electric Blues Served Hot! Since the early years of the 20th century American blues music has had one purpose, to make people feel better. Blues is a joyous, sometimes ruckus experience. It is not moored to an intellectual and often overly academic approach found in its counterpart Jazz. It is alive with spirit and excitement. As the foundation of all popular music in America, Blues has many very familiar elements. Big Daddy T is an Electric Blues quartet that mixes these elements of Rock, Soul, Jazz and Funk. This blend of ingredients is “cooked on high heat” by a group of highly talented musicians with a stage show that can only be described as exhilarating. Big Daddy T’s Quartet is made up of Vocals, Bass, Guitar, Organ and Drums.

Big Daddy T grew up in Southern California and discovered the Blues at an early age. “I can remember listening to Josh White at age 14 and being captivated by songs like ‘One Meatball’ and ‘Well, Well, Well.’” He has performed professionally in Atlanta, Nashville, Texas and Southern California as a studio musician and stage performer. Big Daddy T will entertain with high energy music and a spirit of enthusiasm worthy of any venue.
